We’re passionate about helping you build strong foundations.

Meet Your Trainer

I am Janet, the owner and founder of Little Paws Academy. I have over 14 years of dog training experience and am knowledgable in basic obedience, socialization, and behavioral problems. I have worked with dogs of all sizes, breeds and ages. My passion is working with puppies and helping their pet parents start them off on the right path in life with early socialization.

I am a Certified Professional Dog Trainer (CPDT-KA) and a Certified Trick Dog Instructor (CTDI). I am currently a member of the Pet Professional Guild and The Association of Professional Dog Trainers.

Our Methods

At Little Paws Academy, we believe that “effective training is a partnership between you and your pup based on trust, love, and science.” We encourage our pet parents to understand and respect their pup’s needs, all while accomplishing their goals with our humane methods and reward based training techniques. We strive to help our pet parents and their family members, human and canine, acquire synchronized living and reduce stress in the home from the beginning

We know that good habits equal positive results so we start by teaching our pet parents how to lay a strong foundation to help their pup to make correct choices. We pair this structure with practical training lessons, showing our pups what to do in practice situations thus giving both pet parents and their pup the skills for real-life situations.

We can help.

Set you up for success

It all begins with a strong foundation. Maybe you want a well-adjusted adult dog that you can take anywhere. Maybe you want relief that your puppy will be able to hold its potty through the night.

Build your confidence

It can be intimidating and downright confusing to train your puppy on your own. Learn techniques to socialize and raise your puppy with confidence.

Expand your potential

We want to help you meet your maximum potential, whether it’s walking down the street with your pup on a loose leash by your side or showing off your pup’s newest tricks to your friends.
